“Although a dram of neat whisky is a treat for a lot of people, not everyone enjoys just whisky alone. The range of Loch Lomond Whiskies have an incredible variety of flavour profiles make them perfect for creating exciting cocktails.
This recipe is a twist on the classic Old Fashioned cocktail that uses bitters to draw out the fruity notes from Loch Lomond Original. The oaky finish with a subtle hint of peat and fruity flavours is a beautiful companion for the spice of haggis.”
Method:
In a mixing glass, soak 1 sugar cube in a few drops of Angostura bitters
Add a splash of Loch Lomond Original and muddle together into a paste
Add ice cubes and stir well to blend flavours.
Add more ice and rest of Loch Lomond Original, whilst stirring
Strain into a chilled glass with ice and couple dashes of Plum Bitters
Garnish with Orange peel.
