JIM MURRAY SUGGESTS LOCH LOMOND GROUP WHISKIES ARE MALTS “WHICH MEAN BUSINESS”
Loch Lomond Single Malts receive high scores in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2017
Building on their successful scoring in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible last year,
We are pleased to announce three expressions have been added for review this year which include:
Loch Lomond 12 Year Old, Loch Lomond 18 Year Old, Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 18 Year Old.
This year again, Loch Lomond Whiskies were particularly well received. Loch Lomond 12 Year Old scored a mouth-watering 93.5/100, putting it in the brilliant category. “Never seen spice quite like it, or such a sublime balance with the fruity malt,” noted Jim Murray. Additionally, Loch Lomond 18 Year Old received an 89.5/100 and Loch Lomond Inchmurrin 18 Year Old receiving an 88/100 score.
These scores follow upon Loch Lomond Group’s impressive scoring in 2016 when their unique Loch Lomond Single Grain earned high praise with a score of 93/100 as well as Littlemill 2015 Private Cellar edition celebrating a stellar score of 92.5 with Jim saying “the malt excels here in a way those of us intimately familiar with this distillery 25 years ago could scarcely imagine.”
