As the Official Sprit Partner, our brand logo will be printed on the reverse of the first team men’s and women’s playing shorts, and we will be collaborating on a series of co-branded limited edition single malt whiskies and spirits from our other brands Glen’s Vodka & Ben Lomond Gin.
Wigan Warrior’s 150th Anniversary in 2020 will form part of the new partnership with a Spirit of the Warriors initiative being launched to pay tribute to the values, individuals and players that have helped establish and support the team since 1872.
The Spirit of Warriors initiative will give the teams fanbase the opportunity to reminisce on the clubs history through a series of exclusive content featuring Wigan legends. Additionally, a fan recognition campaign will also be implemented to recognise and reward the supporters.
Our chief executive officer, Colin Matthews commented on the partnership:
“Our partnership with the Wigan Warriors is another fantastic example of how two industries can come together in perfect harmony. Our values and beliefs at Loch Lomond Whiskies are shared by the Wigan Warriors team and can be identified in the way they train and play the game.
“We’re excited to welcome fans back to the DW Stadium as soon as restrictions allow, and look forward to sharing a dram of Loch Lomond Whisky with them later this year.”
Kris Radlinski, Wigan Warriors Executive Director added:
“We are delighted to welcome Loch Lomond Whiskies as our Official Spirit Partner, marking the award-winning brand’s first partnership with an English sports team.
“From the outset, we have been enthused by the potential of this partnership and are excited to work with Loch Lomond to showcase The Spirit of the Warriors. In addition to the Spirit of the Warriors, we will also emphasise the Spirit of Rugby League. Our unique sport is full of many wonderful fans, players and characters and we will be creative in how we pay tribute to them."
