Each individual bottle comes from a different single cask under Ashley’s expert care, selected to reflect the breadth of flavour Loch Lomond Distillery has an unparalleled ability to create.

Available exclusively through Whisky Auctioneer and with all proceeds supporting the OurWhisky Foundation for women, collectors and whisky enthusiasts around the world can bid for this remarkable one of a kind collection between the 29th of March 2024 and 8th April 2024.

Presenting a Symphony of Flavours

IN HOMAGE TO THE SYMPHONY OF FLAVOURS LOCH LOMOND DISTILLERY CAN CREATE, ASHLEY HAS TITLED THE RELEASE ‘SONATA’.

This exquisite collection comes presented in a bespoke handmade oak display cabinet that draws its design inspiration and finishing touches from Ashley’s parallels between composing music and crafting whisky.

Each bottle is accompanied by Ashley’s own tasting notes and detailed distillation and maturation information for a truly rich insight into the whisky and her craftsmanship.

The lucky winning bidder of this remarkable collection will also be presented with a miniature of each bottle, which we invite them to enjoy as part of a guided tasting with Ashley, either online or from the comfort of our distillery with a personal private tour otherwise not available to the public.

A journey in peated and unpeated single malt whisky

This first collection from Ashley has been curated especially for the OurWhisky Foundation 'Demeter' Auction. Using the goddess of grain ‘Demeter’ as her inspiration, Ashley has selected and drawn a single bottle from three otherwise unreleased single casks. Aged for 30 years and benefiting from the same style of distillation and maturation, Ashley has chosen to focus exclusively on varying the levels of peated malt for a journey of flavour and discovery, for a single fortunate individual to own.

As well as as ensuring the consistent quality of our award-winning blends, Ashley is responsible for Loch Lomond Distillery's single cask program.

"I have always felt that if creating whisky were like conducting an orchestra, then single casks would be our soloists. They’re a shining example that takes centre stage for a brief time, allowing you to more deeply appreciate the magic of the full concerto and its components. Every single cask under my care is, in itself, a precious snapshot of the distillery; one that cannot be repeated and should therefore be deeply treasured. I wanted to spotlight the extraordinary nuances and variations we can achieve at Loch Lomond distillery with malt alone. "

OurWhisky Foundation

The Demeter Collection is a new online whisky auction showcasing unique and exquisite single bottles of whiskies crafted by the industry’s most talented women. All proceeds will go to support the initiatives and projects of OurWhisky Foundation – a not-for-profit running mentorship programs, qualification funds, workshops and seminars for women looking to enter the world of whisky.
