Both Loch Lomond Whisky and the Open are steeped in history, craft and passion and every year we create special whisky releases to celebrate this timeless partnership. These releases capture the essence of the event and allow Michael Henry our Master Blender to create expressions that match the “Spirit of the Open” and explore our signature style for whisky and golf fans around the world.

The Open and the AIG Women's Open are the most international of the major championships with qualifying events across five continents. Collectively the championships are broadcast to 600 million households in almost 200 countries, making it one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events. From the first Championship played in 1860 until now, 164 years and 152 Championships later, with the 154th being played at Royal Birkdale in Southport later this year.

The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush was a year to remember. From Q&As with our brand ambassadors Iona Stephen, Colin Montgomerie & David Howell, to serving up delicious whisky cocktails to visitors from Scotland, the USA and around the globe.
