Ryevival
Distillery Edition Thirteen
Ryevival is a distinctive small-batch release that explores the influence of malted rye in Scotch whisky. The blend combines 20% peated malt whisky, matured for eight years, with 80% grain whisky produced from a mash bill of 70% malted barley and 30% malted rye. This unique grain component introduces an elegant spice character that complements the soft, lingering smoke of the older peated malt.
The result is a whisky of exceptional balance and complexity, where sweet baking spices, crisp orchard fruit and gentle peat smoke unfold in layers across the palate. Rich and characterful, it delivers a long, warming finish that invites further exploration with every sip.
Selected by Master Blender Michael Henry, Ryevival is bottled at cask strength (59.2% ABV) and presented at natural colour and non-chill filtered, allowing its full depth of flavour and character to shine. With only 450 bottles available, this limited-edition release is a rare expression of Loch Lomond Distillery's innovative approach to whisky making and its ongoing pursuit of flavour exploration.
