Loch Lomond Steam & Fire brings to life our diverse distilling process and our bespoke, hand-charred casks from our own time-honoured cooperage, resulting in this truly unique and imaginative whisky.
This special expression is created using spirit from both our remarkable straight neck and more traditional swan neck stills. The spirit was then matured in American oak barrels and finished in heavily charred casks, flamed by our own in-house cooperage. The charring process adds a unique complexity and brings out a melted brown sugar character with a rich buttery mouthfeel and notes of orange and dark chocolate.

As part of our innovative Remarkable Makers Series, Loch Lomond Distillery has also partnered with Bread Ahead, a well-known bakery based in London’s Borough Market, to showcase the journey they take to craft their beautiful artisanal bread.
The main idea behind this partnership is to help inspire a new appreciation for the importance of ingredients and processes in producing items of the highest quality — be it bread or whisky.
We also explain the role of yeast in the Loch Lomond Scotch Whisky process and uncover the story of our new Distillery Edition Single Malt. This has been crafted using chardonnay wine yeast, an unusual and innovative ingredient sure to forge new paths in the world of whisky.
