The Open and the AIG Womens Open are the most international of the major championships with qualifying events across five continents. Collectively the championships are broadcast to 600 million households in almost 200 countries, making it one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events. From the first Championship played in 1860 until now, 164 years and 152 Championships later, with the 153rd being played at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland later this year.
