The sun shone on St. Andrews for the 150th Open Championship and Loch Lomond Whiskyhad its biggest ever presence to really engage with the 300,000 visitors to the East Neuk of Fife over the period of the tournament. Our two tier stand had a cocktail bar featuring all of our amazing whiskies as well as Ben Lomond Gin, Spearhead and Champagne Piaff.
Our sampling teams out on the course and in front of our shop and stand managed to sample over 30k consumers and we sold a record number of bottles of our wonderful whisky eclipsing previous records.
Our stand out branding was seen by millions and millions of viewers across the globe as part of the global coverage, but closer to home partnerships with Belhaven pubs, Luvians as well as multiple specialists across the UK put us front of mind in some of the best whisky retailers in the world.
Daily digital content as well as the campaign content gained incredible engagement across all media platforms as did our sampling and activation in key UK airports where we were the no. 1 selling alcohol brand over the period of the open.
