Prize Draw
The Prize is 1 x Bottle of Loch Lomond 50 Year Old Whisky estimated to be worth £25,000
Eligibility
- The prize draw is open to all attendees of The Open and the AIG Women's Open golf championships played in the U.K. in 2026 during the Promotional Period who are aged 18 years or over. Employees of the Promoter and The R&A Foundation, their families, agents, or any third party directly associated with the administration of the prize draw are excluded from entering the draw.
- The Promoter reserves the right to undertake age verification on any person participating in the prize draw.
- The Promoter reserves the right to limit, at its sole discretion, the provision of our services to any person or in any location. Any offer for a product or service made as part of the prize draw is deemed void where prohibited by law.
How to enter
- Tickets can be purchased from Brand Ambassadors for £10, with all proceeds going to The R&A Foundation.
- To enter, entrants will complete their details via a tablet, with the option to join the Loch Lomond Whiskies mailing list before payment is taken. Information cannot be amended once an entrant has entered the prize draw.
- For entrants who reside outside the UK, prizes will be delivered to one location in the UK of their choosing. Any further transport or duty costs incurred beyond this point over a value of £300 will be at the winner’s expense. Winners located outside the U.K. must be of legal drinking age in their country to receive the Prize.
- Entrants can enter a maximum of once a day but can donate more money to The R&A Foundation should they choose. Bulk entries are void and cannot be accepted.
- Once the entry is made and payment is taken, entrants will receive a digital receipt and be given a ‘hard copy’ ticket.
- The winner will be notified in line with their information they recorded when submitting their data to enter the prize draw. The Promoter is not responsible for errors made when entrants submit their data to enter the prize draw.
- Entries will be limited to a maximum of 1 per person, per promotional day.
Proceeds
All proceeds from prize draw entries and related donations made will go to The R&A Foundation, Registered Charity number SC034817, Beach House, Golf Place, St Andrews, Fife, KY16 9JA (The R&A Foundation).
If a Ticket is unknowingly sold
If a Ticket is unknowingly sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18, or an individual is unable to successfully complete age verification checks, they will be excluded from the prize draw, will forfeit their prize, and their entry payment will be returned.
Subject to eligibility and compliance
Subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions, the first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries will win the prize.
How the winner is chosen
The Winner will be chosen by random draw from all of the valid entries in the draw at noon on 03/08/26.
The prize draw will be conducted
The prize draw will be conducted by the Promoter or on its behalf by the Promoter’s appointed agent, fresh Group (UK) Ltd.
Requirement
The winner is required to comply with all instructions and requirements as may be specified by the Promoter or its agents to receive the prize, including but not limited to providing responses within specified time frames, providing any additional information necessary for delivery of the prize, completing any required forms and delivering any required documentation. Where such instructions and requirements are not complied with, this may result in forfeiture of the prize.
For delivery of the prize
For delivery of the prize, the winner may be required to be available at a specified time and place.
The Promoter and The R&A Foundation
The Promoter and The R&A Foundation accept no responsibility if the chosen method of payment is not accepted or is cancelled by the payment provider for any reason or if the entrant’s payment provider applies any fees.
Any entries which are above the maximum number
Any entries which are above the maximum number of entries or which are incomplete, without all the required information, inaudible, incomprehensible, incorrectly submitted, lost, damaged in any way, made or received after the deadline for receiving entries has passed or which are not received by the Promoter or are not otherwise in accordance with these Terms and Conditions are invalid and will be discounted.
The Promoter may refuse
The Promoter may refuse to provide a prize, or seek its recovery, in the event of an entrant’s non-eligibility, non-entitlement or breach of these Terms and Conditions, fraud or dishonesty, including but not limited to the use of technology which enables an entrant to evade applicable charges when entering the prize draw.
The Promoter reserves the right
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw where in its reasonable judgment, it becomes necessary to do so.
The prize draw will open for entries
The prize draw will open for entries at 12am on 12.07.26 and the closing date for the receipt of entries is 4pm on 02.08.26. Entries before or after these dates will not be entered in the prize draw, but the payment made will be treated as a donation to R&A Foundation unless expressly stated otherwise by the sender at the time of entry.
Payment for participation
Payment for participation in the prize draw can be made by debit card or credit cards only.
Participants are deemed
Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
All entries will be acknowledged by email
All entries will be acknowledged by email to the email address provided as part of the entry to the prize draw and the Promoter will supply a digital transaction receipt.
Each valid entry will be entered
Each valid entry will be entered into the prize draw as soon as the entry payment is received.
Monies raised
Monies raised by the Prize Draw will be passed by the Promoter to The R&A Foundation as a charitable donation to be spent in accordance with the charitable objects of The R&A Foundation (for further details please visit: https://www.randa.org/en/foundation). The Promoter will have no responsibility for how the proceeds of the prize draw (including donations) are applied by The R&A Foundation.
The Prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable
The Prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable and no cash equivalent is available.
Winner Contact
The winner will be contacted as soon as practicable on or after the draw is made. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner using the contact details provided when entering the prize draw or such other method of contact deemed appropriate by the Promoter in its sole discretion in the circumstances. Unless the prize is time critical or time sensitive, the Promoter will try to contact the winner over a twenty eight (28) day period.
Delivery of Prize
The Promoter will endeavour to deliver the prize to the winner within twenty eight (28) days from the date of winner confirmation, provided the winner responds when contacted and provides all required information for delivery to be made.
If for any reason the winner chooses not to take up the prize
If for any reason the winner chooses not to take up the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to ask the winner to confirm this in writing and, whether or not such confirmation is received, the Promoter will be able to retain or dispose of the prize (or part of the prize) at its own discretion.
If the winner cannot be contacted
If the winner cannot be contacted or successful contact is not made within the time periods set out above or if the winner fails to meet any of the eligibility requirements or is otherwise unable to comply with these Terms and Conditions, this may result in forfeiture of the prize and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that entrant (without further liability to that entrant) and offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random and thereafter until a winner is found.
The Promoter and its agents will not be liable
The Promoter and its agents will not be liable where a prize has been lost, damaged or stolen following delivery and such prize will not be replaced.
International Winners and Tax Liability
The prize is inclusive of UK delivery, duty and taxes paid. If delivery of the prize is outside the UK, the winner will be responsible for delivery and duty costs exceeding £300 and any personal tax consequences for importing the prize into their own country.
GiftAid
no commitment is given by the Promoter that GiftAid status will be available or apply.
Lost tickets
If entry tickets are lost, they cannot be re-issued.
The Promoter reserves
The Promoter reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative Prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
The winner of a competition or prize draw
The winner of a competition or prize draw agrees that the Promoter may list their name and location on the Promoter’s website(s) and may publish or announce the winner’s name and location to any regulatory authority or elsewhere as the Promoter reasonably determines. A winner who does not want their name and location to be published or would like reduced information published should contact marketing@lochlomondgroup.com.
The Promoter is unable to promise
The Promoter is unable to promise that the technologies used for entry to the prize draw will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. These technologies may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of any problem with any network or line, system, server, software, or for any technical malfunction or failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons reasonably beyond the control of the Promoter or its agents. Subject to the following paragraph, the Promoter does not accept responsibility where all or any part of the technologies relating to the prize draw, are discontinued, modified or changed in any way by their providers.
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Statutory rights of consumers are not affected. (Further details of these are available from local Trading Standards Offices or Citizens Advice Bureaux.) For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Promoter’s liability for fraud, personal injury or death, which after investigation is found to have been howsoever caused by the Promoter, or for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by law or regulation.
Subject to the paragraph 33, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries and/or payments which are lost, damaged, corrupted, incomplete, illegible or from which the entrant cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event, beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, which may cause the prize draw to be disrupted or corrupted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
Subject to the paragraph 33, the Promoter is not responsible for any damage or loss caused (i) which is not reasonably foreseeable when entering the prize draw or (ii) is reasonably foreseeable on entry but is only indirectly related to the entrant entering or participating in the prize draw.
Subject to paragraph 33, the Promoter reserves the right to amend any element of the prize draw for reasons beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to the unavailability of the prize draw entry platform before the closing date, or for strike, lock-out, labour dispute, illness, act of God, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, war, riot, civil commotion, accident, epidemic or pandemic, malicious damage, fire, flood and/or storm, compliance with law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, breakdown of plant, machinery or transportation; and the Promoter is not responsible for any loss or damage caused to entrants as a result of any of these occurrences.
These Terms and Conditions are available in English only and shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England unless the entrant to the prize draw is a Scottish or Northern Irish resident in which case they may choose the law of their residence and they irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales again unless the entrant to the prize draw is a Scottish or Northern Irish resident in which case they may choose the courts of their residence in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of any entry, or the operation of any part of the prize draw, the decision of the Promoter shall be final. Complaints about the prize draw should be made to the Promoter at marketing@lochlomondgroup.com or by writing to Loch Lomond Distillery, Lomond Estate, Alexandria, Scotland G83 0TL.
Data Protection
- Information and data (personal data) provided when entering the prize draw will be held by the Promoter and may be used by the Promoter and its agents, service providers, suppliers and contractors for the purposes of administering and fulfilling the prize draw. The Promoter may send personal data to third parties outside the UK or European Economic Area for the purposes of administering the prize draw and by entering the prize draw, entrants agree to such transfer for these purposes
- When entering the prize draw, entrants may opt-in to receive marketing information and communications from the Promoter.
- The Promoter will be independent data controllers for personal data and will never sell or swap with other organisations for their marketing purposes. Each will be responsible for keeping personal data safe and private as required by law, holding the information provided for communication, marketing, analysis and administrative purposes according to their respective privacy policies, which are available at: https://www.lochlomondwhiskies.com/policies/privacy-policy
