Fermented using Chardonnay wine yeast, distilled in our unique Straight Neck pot stills and matured in two ex-Bourbon American Oak casks, this small batch release of just 366 bottles delivers bright citrus, orchard fruit and a distinctive sherbet-like character.

Distillery Edition Twelve
Distillery Edition 12 explores the impact that fermentation can have on the final character of our spirit, revisiting the fan favourite Chardonnay wine yeast fermentation that has become a hallmark of previous Distillery Editions.
Distilled in our unique straight neck pot stills and collected at the lower strength cut, this release undergoes a two week fermentation using Chardonnay wine yeast. The extended, slow fermentation develops a distinctive fruit-forward spirit with an almost effervescent quality on the palate, creating the bright sherbet-like character that inspired this edition's name.
Matured for 10 years in two ex-bourbon American oak casks, the oak provides gentle sweetness while allowing the vibrant citrus and orchard fruit character of the spirit to remain at the forefront. Bottled at natural colour, non chill filtered and cask strength, Distillery Edition 12 offers an authentic expression of Loch Lomond Single Malt Scotch Whisky and our continued innovation in whisky making.
