60 Years of Remarkable Stills
For 60 years, Loch Lomond Distillery has been shaped by a belief that flavour begins long before whisky reaches the cask. When our distillery opened on its current site in Alexandria in 1966, its pioneering straight neck stills gave our whisky makers an extraordinary ability to influence the character of the spirit through distillation. Six decades later, those same stills remain at the heart of how we make whisky today.
Created to mark this milestone, our 60th Anniversary expression celebrates that enduring spirit of innovation and experimentation. The use of Chardonnay wine yeast alongside our unique straight neck stills allows us to explore and shape flavour throughout the whisky-making process, creating a distinctive spirit that could only come from Loch Lomond.
